Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-28.2 · Effective September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what FreeTheAI collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. In short: we do not store your prompts or model responses, and we collect account, network, and usage data to run the Service and to stop abuse.
This English version is the binding version of this document.
1. We do not store your prompts
FreeTheAI does not store the content of your prompts, files, or model responses. We record metadata about each request (listed below), not what you asked or what the model answered.
To detect abuse such as account farming or shared conversation reuse, our systems compute one-way cryptographic fingerprints of parts of a conversation in memory. These fingerprints cannot be turned back into text and are not used for any other purpose.
2. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, display name, a one-way hash of your password (we cannot see your password), security settings such as two-factor authentication, and your acceptance of these policies.
- Network and device data: your IP address, stored as a keyed hash and as an encrypted copy that our staff can decrypt for abuse review; approximate location and network type derived from your IP; your browser user agent; and signals collected by our CAPTCHA and security checks about your browser and how you interacted with the check.
- Request metadata: time, model, provider, API key used, status code, duration, token counts, cost, the client application, and a limited set of request headers. Credentials and authorization headers are never stored.
- Payment and wallet records: deposits, charges, refunds, and blockchain transaction references. We do not receive card numbers.
- Linked accounts: if you link Discord, your Discord user ID, username, and email, and an encrypted authorization token that lets us add you back to our Discord server.
- Support: the content of support tickets you send us.
3. Why we use it
- to provide, operate, secure, and bill for the Service;
- to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, abuse, spam, automated signups, multiple accounts, and violations of our Terms;
- to enforce free allowances, rate limits, and plan limits;
- to troubleshoot errors, measure reliability, and publish aggregate statistics that never identify you;
- to communicate with you about your account, security, and changes to the Service;
- to comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account exists. Accounts whose email is never verified are deleted after 10 days.
- Request metadata: while your account exists, so you can see your usage history and we can keep accurate billing and abuse records. The separate log of every API call, including refused ones, is kept about 30 days, and hourly per-account usage summaries about 31 days. Aggregate statistics that do not identify you may be kept indefinitely.
- Security, fraud, abuse, and payment records: as long as needed for those purposes and to meet legal obligations, which may continue after your account is deleted.
6. Security
We encrypt sensitive values at rest, hash passwords with a one-way algorithm, keep internal services off the public internet, and restrict staff access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet or held by third parties.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or object to its use, by opening a ticket through Support in your dashboard. We may need to verify your identity and may keep information we must retain for security, fraud prevention, or legal reasons. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
8. International processing
FreeTheAI and its vendors operate in the United States and other countries. By using the Service you understand that your information will be processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us through Support and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The version and effective date at the top show which version applies, and we will give notice of material changes on the website or by email.
